OUR PLACE

A Cooking Day is just one step away from Málaga but you wouldn’t know it. A traditional Andalucian farmhouse or “cortijo” surrounded by an olive grove, hills and Mediterranean nature. Despite the inevitable changes that the property has suffered since 1941, when my family first arrived here, the grand old house remains intact in many ways. The place has always been a generous venue open to family and friends, and today also to anyone wanting to join a cooking class or olive oil experience.

The patio with whitewashed walls covered with bougainvillea and jasmine, a farmyard in the old times, is now the place where weather permitting we have lunch after the class.

The kitchen is located in a new wing added to the old house. Sun and light filled and open to the beautiful landscape, it is a perfect space to enjoy the pleasures of cooking and eating, or eating while cooking…a place to get inspired once you put on the apron!

Any time of the year is suitable for this experience (being July and August the least advisable months) and every season has something special to offer.
