MARKET TOUR & BREAKFAST IN THE CITY

The way people start their day says a lot about a country’s character. In Spain cafés are noisy, lively and interesting places throughout the morning, that’s why this experience starts with us sitting at a table of a local cafeteria to enjoy a traditional breakfast of your choice (churros and chocolate is advised but there are other options too). Then we will head for Atarazanas Market, a visit you shouldn’t miss if interested in learning about food, culinary traditions and lifestyle in Andalucía.

  • Available from Tuesday to Saturday all year-round by reservation, except bank holidays
  • From 10.00 am to 13.00 am
  • Minimum 2- maximum 4 people*
  • English, French or Spanish
  • Please contact us for more information and prices

PROGRAM: Breakfast at a local bar/cafeteria in the market surroundings and guided tour through the market.

Meeting point: Main entrance Atarazanas Market in Malaga city center (Atarazanas, 10)

The cooking day was one of the highlights of our Andalucian visit.
We had a splendid day with Mayte!
We very much enjoyed the whole day. Mayte is a welcoming hostess and she is sympathique, educational and easy to talk with. If you want to know anything about Andalucian tradition you can certainly get to know it through Mayte.
Despite a day full of activity – with cooking and picking fruits in the garden – the pace was pleasant and we felt very comfortable all day long. The ingrediences was locally and ecological and the food was tasty and well-flavoured.
The house and its surroundings are worth a visit all by themselves.

We were with Mayte for a Sunday lunch. We were well welcomed and got a little history about the house and location, we got to meet the family that was very nice. Mayte made us feel welcome and at home. She served delicious food along with excellent wines. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal. This we can recommend most warmly.

The day we spent cooking with Mayte was the highlight of our week’s vacation in Malaga.
The food, conversation, ambience and beautiful scenery were amazing.
Treat yourself to this experience and you will smile every time you look back on it.
Thank you Mayte, you are the best

I spent a most enjoyable day in Mayte’s beautiful old farmhouse – full of character in beautiful surroundings. Enjoyed the whole day, preparing the food under Mayte’s instructions and most if all eating the freshly prepared Spanish dishes and sampling thyye Spanish wines. The walk in the garden picking fruit and herbs was an added bonus. I was made very
welcome and enjoyed meeting Mayte’s parents and Coco.
A trip to Malaga area would not be complete without a visit to Mayte’s kitchen.
Highly recommended.
